Ashley Nickels is a quilter, writer, and teacher living in the San Francisco Bay Area, but is an Ann Arbor native and Huron High graduate! Ashley teaches both in-person and online quilting and sewing classes, writes vignettes about her life and her journey, and constantly looks to connect the creative dots. Her first book, Free-Motion Quilting 101, is a lively but comprehensive guide to get you quilting on your home sewing machine. Ashley teaches you the basics to get set up and provides simple quilting patterns that demystify the free-motion quilting process and answers yes to the question many quilters have, "Can I quilt my quilt myself?"
